Dr Contracture is a global campaign working to eliminate burn contractures, serious but preventable disabilities that can follow burn injuries.
Freedom from burn contractures: for everyone, everywhere.
After severe burns, scars can thicken and tighten. This restrictive scarring can cause pain, limit movement (especially across joints), and profoundly affect a person’s quality of life. In many cases, it leads to long-term impairment, visible difference, and disability.
We bring together healthcare professionals, burn survivors, and allies from many backgrounds to reduce this preventable suffering. Join us on our journey to end burn contractures.
